Former minister of state for information and communication, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki Nakande has commended INEC over its decision to register the APC saying the development would offer Nigerians better chances of choosing their leaders as well as deepen democracy in the country.

Nakande in a chat with Daily Trust in Abuja said that the APC was able to surmount the challenges and hurdles before it goes to show that it has done its homework very well and is ready to function as political party.

He also commended INEC for the courage to register the party and urged the INEC chairman Prof. Attahiru Jega to continue to be objective and forthright in the discharge of his duties.

"It will make Nigeria's democracy more robust and more competitive unlike before," he said.
