Tunisia: Presidency of the Republic Calls for National Unity Against Terrorism and Attachment to Legitimate Institutions

Tunis — The Presidency of the Republic called on Wednesday to unite the national forces against terrorism which threatens Tunisia notably through the support of the national army and the security institution.

In a statement released public, Wednesday, the Presidency of the Republic underlined the imperative to boost the national unity to cut off the road to those who attempt to push Tunisia towards chaos, through attachment to the legitimate institutions of October 23, 2013 elections and the compromise around a government of national unity which will strive to re-establish security and carry on the transition period in optimum conditions.

In this statement, the Presidency of the Republic also called to define the political debate as part of legitimacy and democracy, to be attached to dialogue and consensus to avoid division between the Tunisians.
