Lagos — Former presidential candidate of Nigeria Advance Party (NAP) Dr Tunji Braithwaite has said the registration of All Progressive Congress (APC) will make little or no difference if the personalities behind its formation are not "tainted with the ills of Nigerian democracy".
Braithwaite said this while responding to Daily Trust question over the registration of the new political party by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
When asked to respond to the likelihood of the new party to change electoral calculations in the country, Braithwaite said that could only be possible if the APC promoters are not corrupt and are not tainted by ills of democracy in Nigeria.
He however, added that he does not believe in the registration of a new party, because he is convinced that there would be revolution in Nigeria before 2015 election.
"In a civilize society, you don't register nor de-register a political party. This is part of colonial mentality in the land... And I believe before 2015 election, there would be a revolution in this country. I mean the ills and corruption in this democracy are too much," Braithwaite said.
