KAMAL Jandu emerged the winner of Corporate Golf Tournament held at the Arusha Gymkhana Club (AGC) over the weekend.
Playing off handicap 11 Jandu fired two-under par 70 nett to win Division A top prize at the 18 holes stroke play event held at the beautiful nine holes course. He also emerged the lowest gross scorer with 81 and his impressive score forced his handicap to be chopped to one and he will now play at 10.
Jandu displayed what he is capable of doing when it comes to golf. In May he lifted the Monthly Mug title, just two weeks after he was promoted to the top division. His latest achievement just confirms how best he his against other top players.
Jandu was elevated to Division A after his two-under par 70 score that won him a Division B top prize in the April Monthly Mug. Another handicap 11 Jason Frisby finished Division A runner-up with 73 nett. His game improved from the last event when he finished third at the July Monthly Mug after collecting 82 nett.
Raju Lodhia was placed third with 74 nett. The Division B top prize this time went to handicap 20 Jagdish Ahluwalia who also carded 70 nett. His impressive score improved his handicap to 19. He wrestled the title from the July Mug winner Riyaz Somji, who was no match this time with his 84 nett.
Handicap 21 S. Kaaya took second position with 71 nett, while Avtar Singh Neote finished third on countback over handicap 16 Bob Shuma who returned the same score.
Aayush Nathwani continued his Division C dominance, carding level 72 nett to win the top prize as the runner-up position went to Shakir Bandali handicap-25 for the second consecutive week with his 79 nett.
Just back from Mbeya national team member Madina Iddi handicap 3 carded 79 to win the ladies top prize as AGC Lady Captain Zainab Laicer finished second with 81 nett.
