Tunisia: NCA Presidency Adjures All Deputies to Postpone Political Quarrels

Tunis — The Presidency of the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) adjured all the deputies to postpone the political quarrels on issues "nobody doubts its importance".

It reacted to the tragic events of Mount Chaambi which had provoked human losses among the ranks of the national army and an enormous emotion in the country.

"It is henceforth, evident for all sensible people that the country and its population are faced with a common enemy. As long as we do not fight this danger, we would not even be able to discuss these disputes and provide appropriate solutions," the NCA presidency adds in a statement released on Wednesday.

Besides, it called to "speak the same language and tighten the ranks against the criminal side which targeted the brave national army, symbol of national unity."

The NCA president, the statement said, decided to suspend the activities of the plenary sessions until the week-end, because of the national mourning, and convoke for next Friday the conference of the presidents which has a consultative and co-ordination character.
