Sierra Leone: Strasser Delighted At Genoa Switch

Sierra Leonean midfielder, Rodney Strasser is delighted with his move from AC Milan to Genoa after passing a medical last Friday. The player's move was part of a deal that saw Milan taking the other half of the registration of Guinea's Kevin Constant.

Strasser signed a five-year deal after struggling to establish himself at Milan and he told journalists in Italy that his desire is to play regular football; the reason why he is excited at the chance of moving to Genoa.

He said: "Hopefully I can add positively to what is already a good footballing team. I look forward to meeting my new teammates, settle down and give my best to this great club. It's a big opportunity for me to prove myself and I must thank both clubs for sorting everything out as soon as possible."

The 23-year-old, who made just six Serie A appearances for Milan in his five years sojourn with the club and had seen loanedspells with Lecce and Parma, also thanked his former club for the time spent with them.

He said: "I've learned a lot at AC Milan and will take those lessons with me. I will definitely miss friends, officials and teammates that stood by me all these years."

The former Kallon FC player was enrolled with the AC Milan youth team in 2007 and later graduated to the senior team.
