Caxito — The deputy Attorney General of Angola, who follows up the northern Bengo province, Pulquéria Van-Dúnem, highlighted on Wednesday in Caxito city the performance of the local judicial organs because of the inexistence of preventive etention cases in Caboxa prison.
Speaking to the press, the magistrate expressed her satisfaction at the investment in training of human resources and equipping of judicial organs in that region at all levels.
The magistrate considered excellent the organisation of the local justice organs, such as the provincial court, the prosecuting counsel Office, Caboxa prison and provincial criminal investigation (DPIC), in making efforts to meet with work developed in the region.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Attorney General was concerned about the high number of young convicts and detainees in the prison, where they are deprived to contribute to the reconstruction of the country.
During his stay in the region, Pulquéria Van-Dúnem met with members of the Angolan Attorney General's Office in Bengo province and heard the inmates and convicts of Caboxa prison.
Pulquéria Van-Dúnem, who replaces Filomena Margarida Gonçalves, as the magistrate following up Bengo province by the Angolan Attorney General Office (PGR), in this her first visit in Bengo, also met with local magistrates of the prosecuting counsel. On Tuesday, the magistrate met separately with the provincial governor of Bengo, João Bernardo de Miranda, presiding judge of local court and provincial police commander.
