Egypt: Roadmap For Tackling Egypt's Security Challenges

Egypt's interim President, Adly Mansour yesterday wrote to President Paul Biya.

The special envoy of the interim President of Egypt, Adly Mansour yesterday, July 31, 2013 explained the roadmap designed to tackle security challenges in the country that set in after the revolution which led to the ousting of Mohamed Mursi.

During talks with the Prime Minister, Philemon Yang at the Star Building, Egypt's special envoy, Roving Ambassador, Mokhless Kotb handed the interim President's sealed message to Mr Yang to forward to President Paul Biya.

Mr Mokhless Kotb said legislative and presidential elections will take place in Egypt in the coming six to eight months, stating the Constitution will soon be formalized in a referendum. He said a Reconciliation Commission has been put in place and everybody invited to the negotiation table to chart a new future for the country.

Without disclosing the content of the message to President Biya, the envoy said the visit was to explain the political situation in Egypt to the Cameroonian authorities.
