Angola: Governor Mentions Growing Criticism of Medical Services

Luanda — Criticism of medical and hospital services is on the rise in Luanda, with growing cases of lawsuit for reparation of damages caused to patients, Angop learned Wednesday here.

This was said by the Luanda province governor, Bento Bento.

Bento Bento was speaking at the opening of a conference on "The civil responsibility of health institutions and professionals".

According to the official, the theme of the conference will bring to discussion problems faced by the health institutions and professionals, such as medical error and hospital infections.

He recalled that each citizen has the rights to be served in public and private health institutions without the risks of pathological errors caused by deficient treatment.

Bento Bento encouraged all health professionals to work to provide a better service and more trust and credibility.
