Angola: Peasant Women Told to Re-Launch Agriculture

Mussende — The Angolan minister of Family and Women Promotion, Filomena Delgado, Tuesday urged the peasant women in Mussende municipality, coastal Kwanza Sul province, to engage in agriculture with a view to increasing the household income.

Filomena Delgado was speaking at the opening of the field of the Association Rural Women in Mussende, having praised their role.

The minister also highlighted that the benefit of the family field will serve to support all members.

She advised the association to work with the provincial Government and find solutions to their concerns in order to ensure stability in the family.

The minister also pointed out the need for a cooperation with the central Government, financial institutions and the ministries of Education, Fisheries and Agriculture.

According to her, such a cooperation will enable to tackle the pressing issues experienced by the Angolan families.
