Angola's Role in Strengthening Gulf of Guinea Commission Highlighted

Luanda — The support of Angola in strengthening the Gulf of Guinea (CGG) was highlighted on Wednesday in Luanda by the executive secretary of the organization, Miguel Trovoada.

The acknowledgement was made during an audience that Angolan Vice-President, Manuel Domingos Vicente, granted of the Miguel Trovoada.

According to him, the meeting aimed to thank President José Eduardo dos Santos, government and people of Angola for their hospitality granted to Gulf of Guinea, based in Luanda since 2007.

The executive secretary mentioned, among other supports from Angola, availability of staff and logistics means, as well as the holding and participation in various events.

He said that his organisation is preparing its next ordinary summit, to take place in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea on 5-10 August.

According to him, Malabo summit will enable Angola pass over presidency to Equatorial Guinea.
