Angola: U.S Sports Ambassador in Angola for Sprite NBA Clinic

Luanda — The US ambassador of sports Patrícia Penicheiro is in Luanda to participate in Spite NBA Clinic contest on 2-4 August, jointly held by the embassy of the United States of America in Angola and Coca-Cola Angola company.

According to a press release from the US embassy sent to Angop here, the event is held as part of 20th anniversary of Angola and US diplomatic ties celebration, marked under the theme "The Friendship That Is Always Growing".

The event is held by Coca-Coca in cooperation with Angolan Basketball Federation (FAB), the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the US National Basketball Association (NBA), in partnership with US Cultural Programme, Sports United, Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and the US Olympic Committee.

The document also stresses that the US press attaché, Heather Merrit, said that "this programme uses mutual passion for the sport of Americans and Angolans as a way to strengthen the established ties."
