Angola: Energy Ministry's Broad Consultative Council Kicks Off

The third Broad Consultative Council of the Ministry of Energy and Water (MINEA) started on Thursday morning Cela town in the central Kwanza Sul province, under the guidance of the incumbent minister, João Baptista Borges.

The meeting, to end on Friday, the delegates will discuss topics such as "Programme to change the energy sector", "Achievements and perspectives of National Electricity Company (ENE)", Luanda Electricity Company (EDEL), Luanda Water Supply Company (EPAL), IRSE and National Institute for water Resources.

The participants will also analyse the achievements and the implementation rate of the programmes of the sector in the country's 18 provinces.

The event is being attended by the Secretaries of State for Energy and Water, Joaquim Ventura and Luís Filipe da Silva, respectively, national directors, advisors, other senior employees of MINEA, CEOs of companies linked to the ministry, officials of the provincial government of Kwanza Sul, chieftains and other guests.
