Angola: Kwanza Sul Govt Wants Competition in Fisheries Sector

Sumbe — The promotion of competition and development of industrial, artisanal fishing and manufacturing industry is part of the challenges of the government of the central Kwanza Sul province for 2013/2017 period.

The information is expressed in a municipal integrated programme for rural development and fighting poverty (2013 Action Programme), which reached Angop this Thursday.

According to the programme, the competition in the fisheries sector will promote jobs and its materialisation will depend on the investment in conservation infrastructures, development of aquiculture and encouragement of increasing salt production.

In the industrial sector, it includes the diversification of the national economy, contributing to the job creation and use of agricultural raw material.
