Zambia: Alliance Francaise Mourns Nyirongo

The Alliance Française has expressed condolences towards the family, friends and fans of The Dinaledi Expressions' actor Steven Soka Nyirongo.

He passed away on Saturday July 20, 2013. According to a statement from Alliance française, Steven was taking acting training courses and regularly performed at the Alliance Francaise with Tsungai Garise.

His acting coach, director, producer and mentor described Steven as an amazing and inspirational actor who was on the brink of breaking through the international stage.

He was a committed, dedicated and concentrated actor who performed in numerous plays and short films.

The Dinaledi Expression's team expresses its deepest sympathy and loss.

There was screening of the short films he performed in on Monday July 22, 2013 at Alliance Francaise. There would be another screening of the sorts on a later date.

Steven was not just a brilliant performer but a wonderful, kind and exceptional human being.
