Zambia: Patrons Swarm New Edinburgh Nite Club

NEW Edinburgh Nite Club and Bar in Kitwe's Kwacha East Township was last Saturday a hive of activity as scores of entertainment lovers thronged the place for what seemingly was one of the weekend's bash in the town.

But the atmosphere at New Edinburgh Nite Club and Bar was unimaginable to even think the place was in the outskirts of the town going by the large number of patrons that trekked there.

More impressive was the thrilling manner the patrons turned the place alive, as there was never a moment on which the stage appeared to be empty.

A good flow of music mainly a combination of hip-hop, R & B and slows by golden generation artistes both on the Zambian and international frontier seemed to go very well with the many patrons as they responded with relentless skunking on the stage.

The place remained jammed park even when the clock turned 01:00 hours, as more and more patrons were seen trekking in.

New Edinburgh Nite Club and Bar proprietor Phirriad Chisenga said the club, which had been in existence since 2009, but had no links with the famous Hotel Edinburgh, was proving popular among Kitwe residents for the simple reason that at this place, patrons were getting the right kind of entertainment they all want to have.

Chisenga said the secret behind the large crowd the club was managing to draw was because of the good manner management was relating to its clientele.

There are certainly better clubs but still this place draws a lot of crowds," Chisenga said.
