Rwanda's Delegation to EA Games Now 23 Teams

Four more teams were added to Rwanda's contingent that will travel to Lira, Northern Uganda for this year's East African post primary (FEASSA) games scheduled from August 20 to 30.

The development comes a week after the addition of three new sports disciplines namely tennis, table tennis and badminton.

The four teams that were added include; two teams for tennis (boys and girls) and two table-tennis teams (boys and girls). Each team will be made up of two players.

"The tournament grew to ten sports disciplines from seven but we (Rwanda) will compete in nine disciplines because badminton is not yet in the country," Paterne Rwigema told Times Sport Thursday.

He added, "The addition of new games was agreed up on in a conference that took place last week in Uganda where every participating country was represented."

Initially, 19 school teams were due to compete in football, basketball, handball, volleyball, netball, rugby and athletics.
