Nigeria: JTF Warns of Impending Boko Haram Attack in Maiduguri

The military joint task force in Borno State has warned of impending attack by the Boko Haram sect in Maiduguri and its environs, during and after the Eid-el-fitri celebration, which is less than 10 days away!

The spokesman of the JTF in the statement on Thursday, said, "in the continued effort to destroy all acts of terrorism in Borno State, the JTF wishes to alert citizens and residents of the state of the plan by Boko Haram terrorists to carry out massive attacks and bombings in Maiduguri metropolis and other parts of the state any moment from now and during the Eid-el-fitri."

Accordingly, "the Joint task Force requests the general public to be vigilant about happenings in and around their immediate communities.

"The public are also reminded to be cautious and to report any suspicious movement, actions and abandoned objects in public places, to the nearest security checkpoints for immediate action."
