Nigeria: DJ Sose - Born Different

A look at him and you will agree that this disc jockey was truly born different. Born to a musically gifted Nigerian father and a Hungarian mother, DJ Sose has been immersed in music, so his desire to wade deeper into it by the time he was of age came as no surprise, for he had always wanted music to be a part of him.

The stage name has Ishan (a tribe in Edo State) origins, and it means 'bear witness'. But the creative-minded Sose coined an acronym out of it: 'Smiles Over Sorrow Everyday ' and It has become his motto in life, a motto which has driven him to great heights.

Today, Sose has afro beats, classics, jazz hip hop, rock and other forms of music embedded into his sound style.

Until you see him spin into action, all you can do is wonder what the guy with the tattooed face has up his sleeves. Only then can you look beyond the tattoo.

While growing up, Sose boasted to his friends that he would be in the entertainment business. It did look like a pipe-dream, but not anymore: Today, he is one of Nigeria's disc jockeys who is well spoken for. He is original, creativity and eccentric.

Besides playing popular commercial tunes and contemporary music, the disc jockey loves travelling. This experience from and his love of travelling has availed him the opportunity to manage music projects overseas.

Armed with a first degree in Business Information Systems the disc josckey's dream is to turn his passion into a huge profession. Well, so far, he has helped others reach their path of self actualisation within the music industry.
