Uganda: Ruparelia Group Injects Sh105 zmillion in Kampala Festival

With the Ruparelia Group's contribution, city dwellers and all well-wishers who are gearing up for the October Kampala City Festival have a reason to smile even bigger.

All the party animals can now start loading their party mode with unquestionable optimism following the whopping amount of money that sponsors are willing to part with to ensure that Ugandans have a memorable festival. With its Shs 105m contribution, Shs 80m in cash and 25m in advertising, Ruparelia Group has become a non-exclusive platinum sponsor and the second major sponsor of the annual Kampala City Festival slated for October 6, 2013.

The huge offer almost came as no surprise; Ruparelia Group has always been a big part of the KCCA activities and the festival since its inception last year.

Crane Bank Managing Director AR Kalan said: "At Ruparalia Group, we're proud to provide top-notch service to all of our customers. Our partnership with KCCA allows us to showcase our commitment to the Kampala and Ugandan people, and to providing the best service to all."

Speaking at the cheque presentation ceremony last week, the grateful KCCA Executive Director Jennifer Musisi said: "We are encouraged by the huge interest the festival has elicited so far, especially amongst private sector players. We believe that the sponsorship will inspire others to join in supporting this fantastic event."

Ruparelia Group was the second sponsor, after Bell Lager to announce its participation in the festival that will consist of a programme of more than 200 events that include business, fashion, art and culture, entertainment, technology and industry. Under the theme, Our City. Our Celebration, the festival will be a platform to celebrate the many things that set Kampala apart from other cities. It will focus on togetherness - one of the city's oldest and richest cultural ideals.

On this occasion, people will enjoy song, dance, food, merrymaking, shopping, culture and diversity, right in the middle of Kampala Capital city. In response to overwhelming popularity, the event has expanded, allowing larger vendor spaces and adding more stages, events and entertainers than ever before.
