Nigeria: Jonathan Summons Emergency FEC Meeting for Friday

President Goodluck Jonathan has called for an emergency meeting of the Executive Council of the Federation, FEC. The meeting is to be held by 2:00 p.m. on Friday less than 48 hours after the weekly FEC meeting was held on Wednesday, presidential sources told PREMIUM TIMES

It is not clear what the agenda of the meeting is as presidency officials could not confirm any of the rumours mentioned about the meeting including reports of a long awaited cabinet reshuffle. Mr. Jonathan's spokesman, Reuben Abati, could not be reached to confirm the meeting as he did not pick his calls or respond to a text message.
