Liberia: Pres. Sirleaf Congratulates Swiss Confederation

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and People of the Swiss Confederation on the auspicious occasion commemorating the 722nd Anniversary of Switzerland's National Day.

In her message to the President of the Swiss confederation, His Excellency Ueli Maurer, President Johnson Sirleaf extended on behalf of Liberia, heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Swiss Leader as well as the Government and People of the Swiss Confederation as they celebrate that country's National Day.

Expressing joy over the occasion, the Liberian Leader added that Liberia and Switzerland have enjoyed long-standing friendly ties dating back to the 19th century. She then noted that the cordial ties between both nations will be further strengthened in more rewarding areas to the mutual benefit of the two countries and Peoples.

A Foreign Ministry release says President Johnson Sirleaf, in her message, pledged Liberia's continuous commitments to the shared desires for peace and prosperity for all mankind as Liberians happily join the Swiss People in commemorating the historic event.

The Liberian Leader further wished for President Maurer personal good health, and prayed that the People of Switzerland enjoy continued peace and prosperity under his administration.
