Angola: Over 1000 Titles At "Nossa Senhora Do Monte" Fair

Lubango — A total of 3,900 child books by local and foreign writers will be on display at the arts fair that will be held under the 27th edition of the "Nossa Senhora do Monte" celebrations opening on Saturday in Lubango city, Huila province.

According to the culture and arts official in the province, Pedro Mussunda, all is in place for the 30-day event.

Books by Maria João Tchipalavela, Soraia Mendes, Cremilda de Lima, Áureo Quicunga, Yola Castro, Cássia do Carmo, Maria Celestina Fernandes, Dario de Melo and Teresa Insonte, will be on display at the event.

The exhibition will also be the window for pieces of sculpture, painting, basket weaving, ceramics and other cultural artifacts to attract local and foreign tourists.
