Kenya: Strathmore Promises Better Performance Next Season

2 August 2013

Strathmore University are promising better performance this time round ahead of the 2013/2014 Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) which starts later this month. Starthmore, who finished fourth last year have promised champions Black Mamba a run for their money this time round.

The students, who are coached by Peter Mwathi, claim they are very inspired after holding Black Mamba to a draw (21-21) in last weekend's Madaraka Day Cup at Kaloleni. Speaking after the morning training yesterday at the Strathmore grounds, Mwathi said the team has been training for a month now in preparation for the national league and the upcoming Eastern Central Africa Club Championship set for Uganda in December. He said after finishing fourth in both the national and regional event last season, they now want to go a notch higher.
