Liberia: Paca Warns Against Media Campaign in Sabotage Case

The Patriotic Consciousness Association of Liberia (PACA) is warning individuals and institutions now raging media campaign against LBDI President John Davis and others who posted criminal appearance bond for LFA President and prominent businessman Musa Bility and others in the ongoing "Economic Sabotage case" to desist, because such campaign is tantamount to undermining the case in court.

In a press statement issued yesterday after a consultative meeting of PACA National Executive Committee in Paynesville to review several national issues, including that of the Bility case, PACA emphasized that whatever the gravity, it is indeed a welcoming decision by the Liberian Government to seek legal remedy in a court of competent jurisdiction in Liberia and any other country as may be deemed necessary to prosecute the accused, but those who posted their appearance bond, including the President of the Liberia Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI), Mr. John Davis and others must have their individual privacies respected outside of court so as not to jeopardize the outcome of the case.
