Liberia: 'Extortion of Money' By Police Officers Widespread - H/Rights Group Alarms

The Foundation for International Dignity (FIND), an acclaimed human rights and pro-democracy organization operating in the country, has alarmed that the 'extortion of money' by police officers in Bong, Lofa and Grand Gedeh Counties is widespread.

According to FIND, police officers normally 'extort money' from peaceful citizens as arresting fees, payment/imposition of fines and case withdrawal fees.
