Liberia: VP Wants Japan Open Mission Here

Vice President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has pleaded with the government of Japan to open its foreign mission in Liberia to help strengthen ties between Liberia and the Asian nation.

"The embassy, are you going to open it in 2014? Think about it. You people are doing plenty ... without the embassy and you will even do more if you have the embassy here," Veep Boakai said. He made the statement during a short visit by a delegate of the Japan African Union Parliamentary League to his office and members of the National Legislature.
