Lubango — A plant with a capacity to produce 3,000 litres of oxygen and 295 kilograms of carbon dioxide per hour was inaugurated Friday in the municipality of Humpata by southern Huila province governor, João Marcelino Tyipinge.
The Akz 3.0 billion (Usd 30 million) plant has an oxygen production line and another for carbon dioxide, with a storing reservoir for 21 tons of the latter product, administrative section and other departments.
Speaking to journalists, Huila governor said the plant is crucial for the region, as it will supply the local hospitals and food and beverage production industries.
In his turn, the plant director said it is a dream that came true as it is the group's intention to invest in their home province to boost the development of the region.
This is the second such plant in Huila. The first is situated in the province's capital city, Lubango.
