Rwanda Launches On Water Ambulance On Lake Kivu

In emergency situations, an hour could mean the difference between life and death. It can get even more critical when the fastest way to get to a hospital is crossing a lake.

In this regard, having an on the water ambulance has the potential to save thousands of lives and reduce infant and maternal mortality. On Friday, a boat ambulance worth Rwf 300,000,000 ($500,000) was officially inaugurated on Lake Kivu, Karongi District.
