Musoma — MARA Regional Authorities have promised to assist Mara Regional Press Club (MRPC) to acquire a plot of land for a construction of an investment building.Mr Joseph Makinga, who is in charge of the local government section in the Regional Commissioner's Office made the promise when opening a media stakeholders meeting in Musoma recently.
"We will see what to do to help MRPC get a plot of land so they build an investment house," Mr Makinga said when opening the meeting on behalf of Mara Regional Commissioner (RC) John Tupa.
MRPC Chairman Emmanuel Bwimbo said that they are requesting for a plot of land so they put up an investment building in the municipality of Musoma.
The meeting was organized by MRPC as part of its ongoing initiatives designed to expand cooperation with stakeholders in the Lake Zone Region.
The RC urged stakeholders to cooperate with journalists in Mara Region in a bid to speed up social and economic development.Among others, the meeting was attended by Mara Regional Police Commander (RPC) -- Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ferdinand Elias and representatives from the PCCB, Tanzania Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) and the municipality of Musoma.
MRPC started organizing such meetings annually since last year. Mr Makinga hailed the meeting and wanted the "noble initiative" to be sustained for the benefit of the region."These are important meetings and we need to sustain them," the official said.
