ZANU-PF founding member and former Home Affairs and Defence Minister Cde Enos Nkala has died. Family spokesperson Mr Herbert Nkala confirmed the death of the veteran nationalist in an interview with the Herald this morning.
"It is true he has died but I am at the mortuary at the moment may you please call me later," he said.
Cde Nkala died in a private hospital in Harare from as yet unknown ailment. This follows his transfers from a Bulawayo Hospital where he was receiving treatment.
Cde Nkala ranks as one of the country's decorated liberation heroes with Zanu having been formed at his Highfield house in 1963.
