President Uhuru Kenyatta has condoled with families of casualties involved in an early morning accident along the Narok- Nairobi highway in which 41 people were killed and over 30 others were injured.
The President promised to take action to curb the number of road accidents in the country. He however said vehicle owners must take responsibility for the Public Service Vehicles they hand to drivers.
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga also sent his condolences the families of the accident victims. He commended the police and and emergency services for their quick response to the incident.
The accident involving a bus bound to Homa Bay from Nairobi occurred at around 2am near Ekule between Ntulele and Narok. The bus reportedly overturned along the highway scores of people and causing mass casualties.
