Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Mohsen Salah said that the Egyptian contracting companies are strongly returning to the African markets.
This came after the Arab Contractors Company won a contract for the reconstruction and development of a road in Nigeria with the value of nearly USD 320 million.
Eng. Ashraf Rateb, the company's board member said that this is the largest project obtained by an Egyptian contracting in Africa. He added that obtaining contracts for African projects by the Egyptian companies help in deepening relations of cooperation, providing the hard currency and creating job opportunities for youths.
It is noteworthy that the Minister of Housing, Eng. Ibrahim Mehleb has met with ambassadors of 22 countries and sent letters to the African countries, in which he stressed Egypt's keenness on enhancing cooperation with African countries. He said that the Egyptian contracting companies are keen on expanding activities in the African countries.
