The turnout at the Mombasa International Agricultural show has been low compared to other years.
The trade event was officially opened by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday. Julius Mutua, an exhibitor with the National Cereals and Produce Board, said the poor attendance may be as a result of timing of the event.
"The timing is bad. The ASK should have set the official opening date on a weekend. It is unfortunate it was on a working day. Many people are working," he said.
