According to the Ministry, the nation has secured the earnings from export of over 9.6 tons of items. Coffee, chat, live animals, vegetables and fruits, flowers, food and beverage, tea, cereals, oil seeds, spices, honey and foot wear are among the products sent abroad in the reported period. The earning last year exceeds the one in the previous year by 59.8 million USD.
The nation exported the products to 133 countries including Somalia, China, Germany, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland and U.S.A., among others.
Meantime, the agricultural products marketing and promotion agency of Tigray State reported an earning of over 171 million US dollars through export of agricultural outputs and textiles in the concluded budget year.
Tigrai earned the amount exporting sesame, vegetables, honey, incense, textiles as well as leather and leather products, among others.
