Kenya: Narok Bus Driver Charged With Murder in Fatal Crash

The driver of a bus that crashed last week near Nairobi killing 41 passengers was charged with murder in a Narok court Wednesday (September 4th) after surrendering to police, Kenya's Capital FM reported.

Steve Mutia was charged with 40 counts of causing death by dangerous driving and driving a deficient vehicle that was on the road without an inspection sticker and license. He pleaded not guilty to all charges, and said the bus owner should be held responsible. The owner of City to City bus company was charged Monday with operating a defective vehicle.
