Somalia: Car Bomb Explosion Rocks Mogadishu

Mogadishu — A heavy explosion has occurred at the surroundings of the village restaurant which is located near the Hoyoyinka buildings.

The explosion occurred when a vehicle loaded with explosive materials exploded in the parking area of the restaurant.

According to local journalists currently in the scene, the first explosion was followed by heavy gunfire opened by security officials in the area. This was followed by another second car explosion which targeted government troops who were trying to secure the area and rescue the injured people.

Our journalist has counted 11 dead bodies who are believed to be civilians who were at that time in the restaurant.
