Kajiado East MP Peris Tobiko has asked the Kenya Rural Roads Authority to repair the bridge on Ologum River connecting Kajiado town and Mashuuru.
14 people escaped death after a lorry loaded with sand they were traveling in plunged into the River when the bridge came down on Monday.
All the 14 came out of the lorry without any injuries. Tobiko visited the scene on Wednesday accompanied by KeRRA officials led by Joseph Nturibi and Francis Macharia.
Nturibi said the government has earmarked the 108km road for upgrading and the bridge will be fixed as soon as the work on the road starts.
