Kenya: Kirui Enters Next Month's Eldoret Kimbilio Marathon

Two-time world marathon champion Abel Kirui has confirmed participation at the inaugural Eldoret Kimbilio Hospice Charity Marathon set for October 13. Kirui, who is also the Olympic silver medalist, confirmed he will kick off his season with the Kimbilio Hospice race after failing to defend his world championship title in Moscow, Russia last month due to an injury.

The newest marathon in the city of champions was launched last week and it is being organised by Living Room International. It will be the second biggest marathon in Eldoret after Kass Marathon that transverses in two counties of Uasin Gishu and Nandi.

The race will start at Kimbilio Hospice ground and proceed past Kipkaren River trading centre to Ng'enyilel-Tapsagoi and Turbo-Murgusi and back. Living Room International director Joel Sawe said registration is ongoing at Kimbilio Hospice, Kipkaren and Keino Sports and Marketing in Eldoret.
