Liberia stands to receive economic benefits from iron ore exploration by the West Africa Exploration SA (WAE) in Guinea.
WAE will be mining iron ore in the Mount Nimba Region of the Guinean corridor, but the exportation of its product is expected to be done through the Port of Buchanan in Grand Bassa County. The Port of Buchanan is Liberia's second largest sea port.
WAE is an 80% Guinean iron ore mining company.
According to an invitation letter sent to this paper, WAE will host the official ceremony marking the unveiling of its (WAE) feasibility study as a result of the prospects regarding the upcoming development of the Mount Nimba Iron Ore Deposit within the Guinean corridor.
The invitation noted that ceremony marking the unveiling of the WAE's feasibility study will be held at the Hotel Palm Camayenne in Conakry, Guinea, on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 9:00am.
"In light of the proximity of the Iron Ore deposit of West African Exploration SA with Liberia and in accordance with the expressed willingness of the Head of State of the Republic of Guinea for an African Integration within the Sub Region of the Mano River Union, WAE cordially invites you to participate in the epoch-making event," said the invitation sent to this paper.
Meanwhile, the Independent Authoritative Heritage Newspaper will be represented at the unveiling of the WAE's feasibility study by its Managing Editor/Publisher, Mr. Mohammed M. Kanneh.
Mr. Kanneh will depart the country tomorrow, Thursday, September 12, 2013 for the all-important unveiling ceremony in the Guinean capital, Conakry.
