The Kaduna State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Friday paraded two suspected notorious vandals who were arrested while on surveillance at Keke village in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State.
The suspects, Sani Adamu, 23 and Bala Lawal, 24, were arrested with a bus with Registration Number XB147KJM conveying fifty-nine (59) 25 litres of (PMS) petrol suspected to have been scooped from a vandalised pipelines.
The suspects were also arrested with a Jingchen motorcycle with registration number OG 702 KSF and other equipment, while the rest of the vandals took to their heels.
The State Commandant, Alhaji Zakari Ibrahim Ningi, however, said effort was being made to apprehend the fleeing suspects, while the arrested suspects would be charged to court.
He warned that vandals in the state should stay off petroleum pipelines and other government critical infrastructures.
The arrested suspects confessed to have committed the offence for which they were arrested and pleaded for mercy.
