Khartoum — President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, pointed out that the year 2014 will witness the end of rebellion and ethic and tribal disputes in the country.
Addressing the opening sitting of the Sixth General Conference of the Sudanese National Youth Union Sunday at the Friendship Hall, President Al-Bashir said that the government goal is that the general elections are to begin in the year 2015 without disputes and areas excluded from the elections and that transparent and honest elections shall be held in the country.
He called for consensus among all the political forces on the religious and national principles via dialogue toward reaching satisfactory solutions for all the national issues, indicating that all the opposition political leaders are complying with the issues of peace, the Constitution and governance.
The President of the Republic affirmed the importance of support to the political leadership that is chosen and trusted by people, stressing that the opposition shall be patriotic and aims for correcting the path and revealing the area of weakness for removing it and the area of strength for cooperation with the government.
President Al-Bashir called on the youths to refrain from racism, tribalism, regionalism and fanaticism and to be the spear-head for achieving peace, patching up the rift in the social fabric and orienting the energies for the rebuilding and construction at all the areas of dispute.
Meanwhile, the President of the Republic has affirmed the state keenness to support all the youth projects, stressing that the youth project for national construction shall be one for all the people of Sudan.
He affirmed the government pledge to establish a headquarters for the African Youth Union and also to set up premises for the National Union of Sudanese Youths to help gathering the youths of Africa and all the free world for the sake of uniting the rank and combating all aspects of hegemony, arrogance, blackmail and robbery of Africa resources.
President Al-Bashir has called on the African youths not to respond to the calls for sedition and racism and to focus their energies for utilizing and development of Africa resources for the interest of the African peoples, warning from the Western targeting to Africa resources and its impeding to the development in the continent for the interest of the western countries.
The opening sitting of the conference was attended by Assistants of the President of the Republic, ministers, Chairman of the National Legislature, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Sudan along with more than 3000 youths.
