Nigeria: Cash Prize for Nico's Best Graduates

Commendations still trail the National Institute for Cultural Orientation's laudable cultural programmes and its successful convocation of its graduates last month. One of the institution's graduates in cultural administration, Francis Dare, has also received a cash boost of N50, 000 in recognition of his performance as best student in museum and gallery studies of the NICO Training School in four academic sessions.

The presentation of the award, which a brief but stirring ceremony, took place inside the Conference Room of the Institute's Training Complex, National Arts Theatre, Iganmu-Lagos on Wednesday September 11 and was witnessed by some of NICO's management staff and well-wishers. Amidst loud ovation the Director, NICO Training School, Mrs Brigitte R. Yerima, who represented the institute's Executive Secretary/CEO, presented a cheque of N50 000 to the proud recipient on behalf of Engr. Yemisi Shyllon, sponsor of the award category. He had endowed the prize for the total sum of N100000.
