The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has suspended the licence of Romex Ghana Limited, a small scale alluvial mining company, based at Aburi in the Denkyira West District of the Central Region, until further notice.
The mining company, which is a joint venture between Ghanaian and Canadian investors, started operations in December 2012, but has changed ownership three consecutive times was operating the Mpeasem mining concession.
