Nigeria: Anambra Guber Poll - Court Disqualifies Nwoye

The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State over its governorship candidate is becoming more complicated as a Federal High Court in Port Harcourt presided over by Justice S.A. Aliyu has disqualified Tony Nwoye, as the party's governorship candidate in the state and directed that Nicholas Ukachukwu's name be sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the governorship candidate.

The order dated September 17, had already been served on all the principal officers and members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party. The order was served at about 4.40p.m. Tuesday.
