President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has reiterated Government's commitment to improving the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector of the country. The President made the pledged after she received a petition from stakeholders in the sector Monday in Monrovia.
The stakeholders, mainly from the civil society, under the banner WASH-NET, presented the "KEEP The PROMISES" petition to the President, demanding more concrete actions to better the sector, and to also lobby at the pending UN General Assembly (UNGA) for nations to give WASH issues serious attention.
