The minister of Territory Administration, Bornito de Sousa, Tuesday recalled that with the death of president António Agostinho Neto, on 10 September 1979, Jose Eduardo Dos Santos was entrusted the hard task of replacing him (Neto) in the leadership of the country.
The official was speaking in northern Cabinda province to hundreds of people from all corners of the region, during the main event of the celebrations of the National Hero's Day, September 17.
