Kenya: Give Women More Police Jobs, Says Rep

MOMBASA county women's representative Mishi Mboko has raised concern over Coast women being sidelined in police appointments. During the unveiling of the county police vehicles at the weekend, Mboko asked Inspector General David Kimaiyo to reconsider the entry requirement for women to join the service. She said few women are considered in AP recruitment and are not given an opportunity in regular police. "The women in the police force are from other regions while ours are looked down upon," Mboko said.
