KWALE International Sugar Company will control sugar deficit. Lugari MP and chairman of parliamentary select committee on Agriculture and Livestock Ayub Savula said Kisco will curb a deficit of 250,000 metric tones of sugar every year.
Speaking in Kwale on Friday last week Savula said the consumption of sugar in Kenya is 750,000 metric tones every year. Kenya's sugar production is less than 500,000 metric tonnes every year from the Western sugar companies.
