Kenya: EACC Decries Graft in Counties, Urges Locals to Report It

Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has decried corruption in counties. The agency has asked residents in the 47 counties to report cases of corruption. An EACC commissioner Professor Jane Onsongo yesterday said cases ranging from financial misuse, bad governance and failure to adhere to public service rules in employment have been reported.

Speaking in Embu during a leadership and integrity forum at the Embu Social Hall, Onsongo said a lot needs to be done to curb corruption to promote developments in the counties. She said if corruption is allowed to thrive in the devolved governments development projects will be derailed which will negatively affect the residents.
